John was born on the Isle of Man which, if you have a powerful magnifying glass and a big-scale military map of U.K., you will just about find between Scotland and Ireland.
After finishing his "education" he moved to England, a slightly larger adjacent island, where he claimed a wage for many years from a small motor car manufacturer called Rolls-Royce.
Later, he emigrated to Canada on the basis that the only place left to him was either Wales or somewhere else. Somewhere else sounded like more fun, and infinitely more interesting ... and so it turned out.
Whilst John's expert training and managerial experience at Rolls Royce now qualify him to chop wood for the fire, Susan's nursing career means she can be relied upon to stitch back his fingers afterwards!
Born in England, Susan has pursued a lifelong nursing career in the Channel Isles, England, Canada and the Isle of Man (you get the connection now?). Her specialty has been the care of Seniors (and, more recently, stitching back chopped-off fingers).
But, senior or junior, digitally-challenged or otherwise, we welcome you to our home, and want you to make it your home during your stay with us. We don't even expect you to chop our winter wood ... John's good at that
